Four Alexandria-based Companies Named Finalists by Washington Business Journal
Each year the Washington Business Journal publishes a list of the "50 Best Places to Work in Greater Washington." This year, the finalists have been announced and the City of Alexandria is proud to be home to four companies! They are:
Small Companies
- Halt, Buzas & Powell, LLC
Medium Companies
Large Companies
with local headquarters
- Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust Company
- Kearney & Company
Finalists were selected from a pool of area employers nominated for the honor based on an evaluation of employee benefits and perks. Employees were then asked to answer online questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement, and relationships with coworkers and supervisors. Other questions asked about favorite and least favorite things about the company. The results will be analyzed and scored by assigning points to each question.
Employers are separated into four groups based on the size of their Greater Washington work force. Congratulations to these companies for this prestigious distinction and good luck!
