Each year, Inc. magazine produces the Inc. 500, a list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. This year, two Alexandria-based companies have made the list.

STG International Inc. appears on the list in the #128th position. 2006 marks their second consecutive year on the list.

According to an STG press release "[the company] is dedicated to providing quality services and staffing support to our civilian and military government clients. Our expertise and performance have resulted in our clients relying on us even more in such areas as medical staffing and human resource solutions. As an example, with many government doctors and nursing serving overseas, STG has been called upon to fill the void by hiring and managing staff at domestic hospitals, a responsibility we take on with pride and honor to be able to support our country. We are also providing mission critical medical support to the mission of DIHS in protecting our nation’s health."

Fishbowl Marketing debuts on the 2006 list in the #199th position.

The marketing firm specializes in personalized email communications and is know for their Fishbowl Guest Loyalty program. Through this program, Fishbowl clients "can identify their customers, engage them with personalized eMail communications, and drive top line sales through increased frequency. All without any investment in software or technology, and with no disruption of day to day operations."
