Acting AEDP Executive Director Named

(Alexandria, VA) -- The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, Inc. announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Stephanie Landrum as Acting Executive Director.

This appointment follows the resignation of Paula Riley as AEDP's Executive Director. Ms. Riley has left the organization after over nine years of service and has relocated to Florida.

During the transition, the AEDP staff will continue to provide
the excellent level of service and responsiveness clients have been accustomed to receiving.

Ms. Landrum joined the AEDP in 2005 as the Deputy Director. Before relocating to the City of Alexandria she worked for a public/private non-profit organization devoted to the revitalization of Richmond Highway (U.S. Route 1) in neighboring Fairfax County, Virginia. At AEDP, Ms. Landrum will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies and maintaining contact with the business, real estate and brokerage communities.

Ms. Landrum is a native of the Alexandria area and earned a degree in City Planning from the University of Virginia's School of Architecture.

The AEDP is a public/private partnership, which plans, directs, manages and implements efforts to attract, expand and retain business operations in the City of Alexandria. AEDP has worked since 1981 as a facilitator to establish Alexandria as a nationally recognized community and business center.
